About Perpetual Pilates
Perpetual Pilates and Fitness was not an idea that came to me overnight. Rather, it was a product of my lifelong passion for movement, health, and wellness, combined with my personal journey and experiences.
As a child, I was always active with a passion for horses with all that entailed. However, as I grew older, I began to experience various health issues that affected my mobility and wellbeing; childbirth, car accidents and riding accidents all took there toll on my body. Chronic lower back pain, hormonal imbalances and a hysterectomy in my early forties left me feeling old before my time and my mental well being suffered as a result
However I discovered Pilates and it was a revelation. It not only helped alleviate my pain but also improved my posture, core strength, and overall fitness. I became a dedicated student and eventually, a qualified Pilates instructor and Level 3 Personal Trainer as well as an Indoor Cycling Instructor!
Over the years, I have continued to deepen my knowledge and expertise through the Australian Institute of Physiotherapy and Pilates, focusing particularly on chronic lower back pain, women's pelvic floor health and menopause. As a woman in my fifties, I understand first hand the challenges that many women face as they age and go through hormonal changes.
With all of this in mind, I began to dream of creating Pilates and Fitness classes that would offer more than just exercise classes. I wanted to provide a welcoming and supportive space where everyone no matter of age or fitness levels could come to improve their physical and mental health, connect with others, and feel empowered in their bodies.
And so, Perpetual Pilates and Fitness was born. I offer a range of mat Pilates classes as well as specialised classes for women's pelvic floor health, menopause, and chronic long term lower back pain.
I am excited to see Perpetual Pilates and Fitness grow and thrive, and to help people of all ages and backgrounds discover the many benefits of Pilates.
I offer a range of classes suitable for the beginner through to the more experienced Pilates practioner
Gentle Pilates classes are a great place to start for beginners and those new to Pilates. These classes focus on building core strength, improving posture, and increasing flexibility and range of motion. I will guide you through the exercises step by step, and provide modifications and variations to suit your individual needs.
For intermediate level students, I offer strength and tone classes that build on the foundational Pilates exercises and introduce more challenging variations and equipment, such as ball and band. These classes are designed to help you take your Pilates practice to the next level, and to challenge you both physically and mentally.
I also offer women centred classes that focus on women's pelvic health, including exercises to strengthen the pelvic floor and improve bladder control; as well as Pilates classes for menopause, which can help alleviate symptoms such as hot flashes, mood swings, and joint pain, while improving overall strength and flexibility.
At the studio, I pride myself on creating a supportive and welcoming environment where everyone can feel comfortable and empowered in their bodies. As an experienced instructor I am passionate about helping you achieve your health and wellness goals, and will work with you to tailor each class to your individual needs and abilities.
I invite you to join me for a Pilates class and experience the many benefits that Pilates can bring to your body and mind.
